Red Hat on Pavilion ZE 4115

ok, i'll admit i'm brand new to linux. i have gotten a few of my questions answered here, and now i have one major one. for some reason i can't start up Xwindows. when i type startx and click enter, it goes through the message about the log file (which i still don't know how to open) and then says 'no screens found'

could anyone either 1)tell me what this means 2)tell me how to fix it or 3)tell me if i should stop trying.

also, how do i actually open up a log f ile from the text program of linux?

thanks in advance!

On my pavillion ze4125, the only video driver that works is the vesa driver. Reinstall your version of Redhat and when you get to the screen to choose video driver, choose the vesa driver. It may be located in the "others" folder. Then choose generic laptop driver and screen resolution of 1024 x 768, and millions of colors.
