Unhappy Radeon Mobility 7500 & XFree86

Well, I'm running Slackware 9.1 and everything works perfect except for my Radeon Mobility 7500 M6. Apparantly the drivers from ATI's site don't support the 7500's and I can't seem to find any "drivers" that work well, and allow me to use glx, dri, tvout, etc.

My question is... is it hopeless? Is my video just too outdated to have compatible drivers? Can anyone help? I've scoured the forums looking for answers but can't seem to find any. Just looking to see if anyone else has gotten theirs to work.
