questions regarding Linux Mandrake install on Compaq Armada laptop
I'm attempting to install Linux Mandrake 7.0 on my old Compaq Armada 1560DM. During the first stages of install it asks me if I need to use PCMCIA devices during the install. It then goes on to say that if I'm installing Linux Mandrake on a laptop with a built-in CDROM drive (which I am) that I don't need to use PCMCIA devices during install. So, I click 'No' and continue with the install. However, it then spends several minutes searching for PCMCIA devices and then sends me back to the original screen asking me if I need to use PCMCIS devices during the install.
I have been searching all over the internet to see what I'm doing wrong with no success. If anyone knows what I need to do to proceed with the install, please help.
