Question on xrandr output for Sony PCG-K13 with ATI Radeon IGP 345M

I just installed Fedora 12 on a hand-me-down Sony PCG-K13 with an ATI Radeon IGP 345M graphics card.

The install was trouble free. The Xorg is using the ati driver with all the bells and whistles working AFAIK. I even have it driving a HD projector through the external VGA interface.

When I run xrandr (see below), it seems to indicate there is a DVI display available (in red). I cannot find an external connector/interface for this display on the laptop. I can see the TV-out S-video plug, but not a DVI plug. The Sony specs sheet that I can find via Google are of no help.

Is any one familiar with this laptop and whether access to the DVI is even possible?

Code:
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1024 x 768, maximum 4096 x 4096
VGA-0 connected 1024x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 0mm x 0mm
   1024x768 60.0*
   800x600 60.3 56.2
   848x480 60.0
   640x480 59.9
DVI-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
LVDS connected 1024x768+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 0mm x 0mm
   1024x768 60.4*+ 60.0
   800x600 60.3 59.9 56.2
   848x480 59.7
   720x480 59.7
   640x480 59.9 59.4
S-video disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)

It is quite possible (even likely) that the GPU itself has the connector, but the laptop does not. If that's the case, I'm not sure there's anything you can do to use DVI.

I scoured the web for anything that would give me a clue. No laptop I could find, that uses the IGP 345M, had a DVI connector.

My guess is that the ati driver lists DVI, VGA and S-video regardless whether the gpu actually has such a capability or not.

That is not correct. The driver only lists connectors that the GPU claims to have :-)

The videocard have's all those connectors but the laptop doesn't. It's common occurrence in low and middle end laptops. Both conections that aren't accesible from outside the case, and ports/slots that are unused (the slot/port is there, but there is nothing in the mainboard connected to it).
