Question about aufs on Acer Aspire A150-1295
I am going to be installing Ubuntu Netbook Remix on a new Acer Aspire A150-1295.
It comes with 512MB of memory and 8GB SSD and Linpus Linux but I don't want to stay with Linpus. I plan on expanding the memory to the full 1.5GB.
I haven't decided for sure what to do with the SSD. I think 8GB may be enough but I'd prefer 12-16GB. I did some research on upgrading the SSD but that seems hard to do but the Aspire A150-1295 has a slot specifically for a SD card that if you insert it will 'expand' the internal SSD and treat it as one hard drive using aufs.
I don't know much about aufs but I heard it works fine with Linpus but would this work okay with Ubuntu Netbook Remix?
I know that with Linux when you do an install by default it makes 3 partitions, something like the root, a program partition, and one for data.
Would it be possible to set it up so that the internal SSD is the first two partitions and the 3rd partition goes on the SSD? Or can I simply use aufs and treat it as one larger SSD?
