if its a wheel mouse you will need
Code:
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
and remove
Code:
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "yes"
Also modify your "ServerLayout" so it looks kinda like this
Code:
InputDevice "Mouse0" "CorePointer"
InputDevice "Synaptics"

I tried removing the emulate 3 buttons, and putting "core pointer" in my xorg.conf file and xwindows wouldn't load. Is there a seperate module or something I need to load to get it to recognize this mouse?

post your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file. It should tell us where the problem is.
