/proc/acpi/fan is empty and the fan always work
Hi! I'm a new linux user. I've installed Suse 10.0 on my Fujitsu-Siemens M1439G and I have a problem with the fan: it always work. I have this cat results:
1)linux:/proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM # cat cooling_mode <setting not supported> 2)linux:/proc/acpi/fan empty but acpi module seems to be load: [...] cpufreq_ondemand 6044 1 cpufreq_userspace 4444 0 cpufreq_powersave 1792 0 speedstep_centrino 7508 1 freq_table 4612 1 speedstep_centrino [...] fan 4996 1 thermal 14472 0 processor 24512 2 speedstep_centrino,thermal [...] and the frequency changes dinamically. How can I configure the fan? Thanks to all and excuse me for my bad english. Bye:) |
Unfortunately, Fujitsu does not appear to be very Linux friendly, and has not made the information available to the community so that the functionality can be coded (see this kernel bug).
I suggest you write to Fujitsu to express your displeasure. |
