problems with the HP dv6646us
Hey, everyone. I have just recently bought a laptop (the above mentioned HP dv6646us - amd64 x2 TL-58 1.9GHz, nvidia geforce go 7150m graphics, broadcom 4321 wireless and a notebook monitor that I can't find the specs for) that I hoped would run only linux. I cannot find a distro that will work with it's hardware. I know there are workarounds for the broadcom wifi card, but I have never got that far. So far none of the distros have detected the monitor or graphics card (except sabayon - somehow it booted at the correct resolution and while it did not recognize the nvidia card, it knew to apply an nvidia driver and compiz-fusion worked out of the box with it). anyway I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me -- I really like this laptop and hope to be removing windows soon.....
thanks in advance,
tony
