Problem with xp and fedora 7

I wanted to have both xp and fedora 7 on my laptop. I successfully installed fedora 7. But when I try booting up my XP, it doesn't boot. I get an error saying - NTLDR missing. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart.

I dont know what has gone wrong. But when i try to reinstall xp, I'm not able to do that as well. I cant reinstall it.

Plz help me with this.
ITS URGENT!!

First, make sure you install XP before you install Fedora and that it is in the first partition of the hard disk - blame Microsoft for this crap. Then install Fedora as the second OS; Grub will automatically configure the XP boot.

just a quick look yielded this thread LinuxQuestions.org: Grub Problems - NTLDR Missing.

In the last posts the problem was resolved with the help of this page: How to use the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows Recovery Environment to troubleshoot and repair startup issues in Windows Vista

I hope this gets you going in the right direction at least. The thread contains info about XP commands being attempted to fix the Vista problem.

I also found this in another forum which might help fix the problem which seems more common than I thought: Familiar dual boot problem

ramram29 is right about Microsoft trying to make this as difficult as possible. I like to think of it as "Hotel California" OS-style.

Well "that" link is a duplicate thread to this one with more info and advice started by the same guy.

You may want to get in a habit of checking the "Similar Threads" list at the bottom of these pages. Here's another thread on this subject you should find informative.

Have you ever thought about doing a general search for NTLDR on LinuxQuestions.org?
