What is the problem with the latest xorg drivers?
Because when I was using fedora 12 I believe it was working fine but as soon as I updated to fedora 13 it stopped working.

I am not sure of what to do. Is there any other good distribution which will support my graphics driver with compiz and everything.

I tried SUSE 11.2 and it was horrible. I tried ubuntu 10.04 and it had same problem with the video drivers.

? how did you update from fedora 12 to 13 ?
a full 100% clean reinstall as recommended by the fedora developers .

on a laptop NO compiz was meant to run on a full 3d card , some higher end laptops can run it .
what EXACT brand of laptop is it and the full hardware specs would help .

I updated through yum not a clean install definitely.

My laptop is an inspiron 1545 and the specs are
Intel core 2 duo T60 processor
4GB RAM
Intel 4500 Graphics chipset.
I purchased this around december 2008 when this model was first released.

as per the compiz how to / guid on the fedoraforum
"compiz-0.8.5 repo for F10, F11 & F12 + guide for the official fedora packages"
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=173317
"xorg.conf options for the intel, nv, radeon & radeonhd drivers ( should help graphics lag and CPU load )"

"add to the device section"

Code:
   Option          "AccelMethod" "EXA"
   Option          "MigrationHeuristic" "greedy"
and posting the full xorg.0.log would have helped
there is a bunch missing from what you posted
reboot and it will make a new log .

This is the full output of Xorg.0.log and I added the given lines to the device section of my xorg.conf

Seems like I cannot post the complete log, so I am attaching the file.

So what, exactly, is the problem you are having? Your Xorg log file doesn't show anything out of the ordinary.

@Adam,

I cannot watch the flash videos in full screen. I have to disable the compositing to watch the videos in full screen whether its hulu or youtube. I cannot watch any of the flash videos in fullscreen.

@John,
Yes I had installed it using yum and its the latest one I have.

I am enthusiastic to learn Linux, so which sections should I see in the Xorg.0.log to know which properties have an unusual behaviour.
