problem with getting Xorg working on Dell Inspiron 1525

hey i just finished installing arch linux on my laptop and when i run Xorg -configure /etc/X11/xorg.conf
it just flickers and gives me a blank screen. i kill it, (i enabled control alt backspace but it didnt work) i look at the log, not a single error message. i followed the beginners guide, and im using the open source intel driver for my video card. it hate this. so frustrating. I think its a problem with configuration. it has integrated graphics

1) X -config as root or
2) rm -f /etc/X11/xorg.conf
