problem reading fat disk with new kernel
Hi I am running Fedora C2 on a LG-LM50 laptop.
I have tried both custom and pre-compiled ver of 2.6.8.152 and 2.6.9.3
everything works fine except reading FAT32 disks off my harddisk and a USB disk, I can read the first level directory and files no problems, when I try to "cd" one of the subdirectories..it freezes and then spits "segmentation fault", and if I use gnome GUI to access these files or directories it basically just froze. Very unstable to use.
Even NTFS disk worked.
I have set the fat fs flag when compiling the custom kernel.
Am I missing something here...or is it because I can't ONLY upgrade kernel but need someother packages. Or is it a bug(which I doubt it as it happened on two versions of the kernel) :P
