I was trying to install the Fedora Core 6 by HTTP on my laptop. Everything went well untill it recognized my video card (ATI Radeon Mobility X700---I was very happy at the beginning cause the FC4 on my laptop failed to recognize it), and the screen was blacked out. It seemed that the power was cut-off for the screen. After I pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del, it lighted up again and I found the graphic installation interface was started. I tried "linux noprobe" but it still probed for my video card and died.

Anyone know what the problem is?

If you get into a console (usually by hitting Ctrl-Alt-F1), log in as root & type nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf. Find Driver & change it to say vesa.

I also recommend that you upgrade to a more current Fedora release. FC6 is a big improvement over FC4.
