You have a new laptop with most likely a SATA hard drive which was not common when RHEL4 was released, try booting the installation media with the option all-generic-ide; linux all-generic-ide
(caveat I'm not sure this is an installation option with the media you have)
You can also try booting the laptop using the first CentOS 4.5 CD image burned to CD using the same option and do a minimum install;

CentOS is a 100% binary compatible 'clone' of RHEL and CentOS 4.5 == RHEL4 update 5
