Post Powersave on SUSE 9.1

I am struglgling to try and make the powersave daemon use either suspend or standby. I have a Toshiba M35 Laptop and SUSE 9.1.

ACPI works perfectly, however when I issue the following commands:

powersave --suspend
powersave --standby

I receive the following message: "suspend/standby has been disabled by administrator"

kpowersave also has the suspend/stand-by options disabled and greyed out in KDE.

What am I missing??

enable Standby

Look at the Release Notes shipped with SuSE 9.1. On my 8.2 system these are at:

file:///usr/share/doc/release-notes/RELEASE-NOTES.en.html
They have suspend DISABLED by default. You have to edit a config file by hand
(/etc/powersaved.conf I think) to turn suspend back on.
