power-saving linux laptop...


anyone kno of a good battery saving linux laptop? i hear the centrinos can do 6.7 hours on windows, but i also hear the centrino support for linux is non existent...i plan to dual boot as well xp/linux...has anyone got linux working with thier centrinos and can i get a battery life estimate as welll......thanks

I have one, but for battery life, boot up in windows. ACPI cpu throtteling isn't by acpi for the 2.4 kernels, 2.6 are coming up I think they can handle it.

Intel has publicly stated that they won't commit much support to Centrino support in Linux.
