Power management--HP8510W / Fedora 8

I reported earlier that Fedora 8 worked "out of the box" on my HP/Compaq NC8000. Specifically, the various options for action on closing the lid worked perfectly.

The IT folks have just replaced the laptop with an HP 8510W. I installed Fedora 8 in this also.

The first thing I noticed is that the power management options do not include suspend. I re-installed Fedora (from the same CD) to the old laptop--just to make sure I was not hallucinating. On the old machine, the suspend option is there and everything works.

Any clues?
