Porblem Installation Mandrake 9.2

I'm having problem installing mandrake 9.2 on my toshiba satellite 1800-400. After creating partion and selecting products to install, I get the error "basesytem package not selected". Could anyone advise me on what next to do. I've tried all possible options provided and the result is still an endless loop of selecting a partion and selecting the products to install then error and then back to selecting a partion.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

It sounds like you may have a duff CD. When you downloaded the ISOs did you verify them with the MD5 checksums?

The CD is not a downloaded copy but rather a copy of a retail version. But how can I verify it with the MD5 checksums?
Thanks
