There's a native Linux driver for your card. Check your apt repositories or go to: http://ipw2100.sourceforge.net/

Oh man this is irritating.
I have nvidia video card. I need to install its driver to optimize my video card, but that driver requires 2.4 kernel. It cannot find the kernel source tree under my system. Plus, the ipw2100 can only run under 2.6.8 kernel.. what can i do now? |
Get a new wireless card
Get a new video card Give up and go back to Windows ;-) Just kidding. The nVIDIA driver works fine on a 2.6.x kernel. I'm running a GeForce 6600 GT on 2.6.13. You will have to reinstall the driver after the kernel upgrade, though. I used Debian for about a week, so I can't give you much help with the kernel install. I'll bet that the Debian forum here can, should you need it. |
