I'm using Windows XP and Gentoo with kernel 2.6.19-r5 on laptop Acer Aspire 5050, the Realtek Ethernet 8139 worked very well, and the IRQ was set to #20 (both in Windows and Gentoo).

But the problem happened when I upgraded to kernel 2.6.27-r8. After compile with genkernel, and when booted to new kernel, the IRQ was set to #16 (not #20 like the old kernel), conflicted with HDA Intel audio. I spent much time to searched on Internet, recompile the kernel many times, and tried many kernel config, but nothing changed.

Please give me some advises to solve this problem?
