pebSUSE on ubuntu machine

I messed up and installed penSUSE 11 in a 12 gig partition and I am unable to fix my MBR with the live CD and I have tried 2 separate methods I found on the web using the Live CD. In neither method could I find /boot/grub/stage1. I have a single 80 gig hdd and I really want to go back on the ubuntu grub menu.

Any help?

You like to go back to the menu.lst of Ubuntu and at the same time you like to restore the MBR .
Normally we fix the MBR if we like to go back to a single use of windows.
I suppose you have installed UBUNTU first and than opensuse on a other partition and let opensuse write GRUB in MBR
Is this correct.
If so do know on which partition Ubuntu is on which partition opensuse ?
Or did you like to delete opensuse ?

but where can I find pensuse?

and, on topic
use a file manager as root to go looking for the menu.lst
when you find it see what's up

if there isn't one, their easy to make too.

how did you install pensuse to hd?
gui driven or what?
