pcmcia kernel lost

Dear friends!

I have RedHat 9 installed on my laptop (dual boot with Win2k). I used to boot my Linux box off a floppy, which I accidentally erased... I then decided to create a new floppy: booted from installation CD, used "dd" command then "rdev". Now my system boots off the floppy all right, however it uses BOOT version of kernel and not my "good old" PCMCIA version. as a result many of the devices are no longer recognized.

Please help me get my PCMCIA kernel back! Where do I look for it and how do I create a boot floppy that would contain the above version of Kernel...

Thank you in advance,

Phil Turnin

Kenji!

Thanks for respondin to my request for help! I've tried to use the command that you specified... Unfortunately it did not help... I mounted the CD rom used the dd if=/mnt/cdrom/images/pcmciadd.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=1440k the system won't boot at all. I did not use the piping parameters that you mentioned above ", couldn't find the symbols used by you/

Anyhow, when I looked at the files created on the floppy, there was no vmlinuz file, which is essentially the kernel (am I right?). Any other suggestions?
