pclinuxos xlde does not suspend


i have got an pclinuxos lxde installation on my net-book(Acer Aspire One)

it won't suspend when i close the laptop-lid. my girlfriend closed it without knowing and i founded it near-overheating.

what can i do to make it suspend when i close the lid?

Can you suspend the laptop by choosing "suspend", or a key combination or....?

yes, if i click on logout > suspend it does suspend normal.
