Parallel CDrw Not working need to mount

How do I load a Parallel port CD/rw Backpack Microsolutions after I have run the install? I plugged it in. During install I added the Parallel port stuff. However I need to know how to mount it. I tried:

mount -t iso9660 bpck6.o /cdrom

this did not work

are u sure about which device had linux recognize as your parallel cdrw?
If you are very sure.
i say, why don't you just add a line to /etc/fstab??
Wouldn't it be easier?
it should be like "<mount point> /mnt/cd-rw udf,iso9660 noauto,owner,kudzu,ro 0 0" if you are using redhatlinux

I am not sure at all about which it identified. I know so little about Debian/Llinux. I have to even read how to shut down. I have been reading all I can. I can not seem to figure it out.

I will try your method in the AM.
Thanks,
John

try (as root):
modprobe bpck6.o
dmesg
(and check the last few lines to see if a new device was recognised)
mount /dev/scd0 /mnt/cdrom

Since bpck6.o is a object file, I am presuming it is a kernel module, in which case you will need to insert the module before it'll work.

Just a thought.
