OpenSUSE installed, won't start display managers, log included.

It's been a while since I have used linux due to a lack of available devices, but I tried installing it recently on a laptop that to be honest wasn't in the greatest condition as it was. Live CDs work on it, so I'm sure something is possible, but that's about all I've managed. I'm dual booting Slackware 9.0 (no network drivers yet, so no way to update it) and the newest version of OpenSUSE (a first for me). Slackware also starts kdm, gdm, and xdm just fine.

I'm not sure what the decorum for posting logs is here, so instead of posting it inline I'll link to it here. Any advice would be nice. Oh, and when it attempted to auto-configure X it failed miserably. I'll gladly post any details you need to figure out a solution.

Also, as I mentioned, this laptop has... issues. The only way I managed to get a boot loader installed was putting LILO in the MBR with Slackware. When I attempt to boot to OpenSUSE using LILO it errors with "you must use the root="" argument, available partitions are ERROR" or something of the sort. Any ideas? According to OpenSUSE, the hard drive it is on is /dev/sda3, while Slackware has itself on /dev/hda2 (same hard drive).

As I said, I appreciate any help anyone can give.

Does no one have any ideas for me?
