OpenSUSE 11.3 and Orinoco Silver Wireless Card - Won;t Connect
I recently installed OpenSUSE, and the overall setup seems to work fine on my Dell Inspiron 8100 vintage laptop. The hardware all worked fine with Windows, this is a fresh install of Linux, and I am a newbie getting up to speed. The only problem I am seeing so far is the network card doesn't connect to my wireless hub despite seeing it. I am familiar with setting up these devices, but might be setting something wrong, who knows. The card appears to be supported, it is seen in the Network Manager, and it "sees" my access point, knows it is WEP protected by the lock icon on the screen. But when I enter the WEP key and try to connect, nothing, it times out. Even tried disabling WEP at the access point, and retrying without WEP, nothing. The card is an Orinoco "Silver" PC24E-H-FC, also have a Proxim-branded Silver Orinoco card, it was also sensed, and didn't work either, though it appears to be supported by the OS. Any help would be most appreciated.
