OpenSuse 10.1 on ThinkPad A21M has screen corruption - HELP
I am fairly new to Linux, so I chose SUSE to make it easy - that seems to be a recommended "Newbie" distro. I have an IBM Thinkpad A21M that I installed OpenSuse 10.1 on, and I have serious screen corruption. Specifically the taskbar is not at the bottom of the screen but is about 1 inch up from the bottom. And if I move the mouse to the top of the screen it goes beyond and shows up at the bottom. It is like the entire display is shifted up about one inch with the top now on the bottom. I tried to do a screen capture to include here, but that picture looked fine. I am running Gnome desktop on this. If I log out and start a new session, on the login screen I see a line in the same place on that screen as well. There is also a line that follows the mouse while on that screen. Suggestions?
The Graphics in this laptop is an ATI Mobility 2x with 8 meg. It is running what look to be the proper drivers for that as well as having the proper screen chosen. Let me know what other info may be helpful.
Thanks
