Guys,

I'm at the end of my tether now. I've been trying all day to get my HDMI out to work on my laptop. After trying for months to get it to work on Manjaro, I decided to jump to Ubuntu for a more "user friendly" experience, hoping that stuff would just work.

Unfortunately this hasn't happened and I'm now in exactly the same place as I was before. It's got to such a state and I've tried so many things that I actually think many of them are now being counter-productive.

If anyone would genuinely like me to post every step I have taken so far I will, however a simple set of "can you print the output of this command" would be much appreciated. I'll get around to printing my .conf files in about an hour and a half (just going out).

I realise that this is far from ideal and that I'm asking a lot, but I would really appreciate your help on this as I'm going back to work tomorrow.

Which version of Ubuntu?
Which version of the graphics driver?

Again guys, thanks for the interest. I've sorted this myself now. I'm having issues with audio over HDMI at present but that can wait.
