No USB ports on HP pavilion zv5416EA

I just bancrupted myself and bought a new laptop. I installed Suse 9.2 prof on it and everything seemed to work fine, except when i try to connect my HP printer or Digital camera through one of the 3 USB ports. I know both devices work with linux, because I had both of them working on the same distro on my stationary PC, so thats not the issue. It seems that the USB ports arent deteced and set up. I tried to compile a new kernel 2.6.10 and simply add in everything that had the word USB in it, but that didnt work either. I have used Linux for ages, but never had to compile a kernel before, it just allways worked, so I might have done something wrong during compilation. I saw somewhere during a googling that I should try to modprobe usb-ohci, but that gives a "FATAL: Module usb_ohci not found." What can I do ? I would hate to be forced to use WinXP on this...i've been using linux since redhat 7.3

Okay...i think im going crazy. I have honestly been fighting with this for a long time..nothing worked, so I was sitting here on my old kernel, watching tv, and downloading stuff....i had forgotten that my camera was hocked up....just for the heck i started USBview from prompt...and lo and behold, my cam and printer showed up....what I had done ? Nothing...this proves that there is a God, and she hates me.

Turns out to be a BIOS error in version F.30....had to flash F.34, USB works now. One thing you gotta love is that HP's BIOS tool only runs in WinXP or Win2000....
