no screen found


I have laptop with ATI Radeon AGP 4X and 3d architecture. There in installation of Red Hat 7.2 I put ATI Radeon AGP that what i could find closer to what i have. Well after installation when i tried to run "startx" i got this message "no screen found"
If anybody knows how to fix it or even if possible without reintstalling all over again?

Have a look at your log file

/var/log/XFree86.0.log

Something like that. Look for lines that start with (EE) and tell us what the errors are.

Ok. I actually tried to reinstall it becuase while i wrote first threat i realized that my video card is ATI mobility radeon agp 4x and 3d archetecture. Anyways, i got the same screen
Here the output of what i get:

(II) Primary Device is: PCI 01:05:0

(II) ATI: Candidate "Section" ATI Rage Mobility

(WW) ATI: PCI/AGP MACH 64 in slot 1:5:0 could not detected!

(EE) No devices detected

Fatal server error:
no screen found

I had the same problem with my HP Pavilion ze4805us with the ATI Mobility, there's some tweaking that you have to do to the /etc/X11/x86Config file. Unfortunatly I am booted to Winblows, I will post what I did when I get off work.

Ye, I wanna dual boot too, trying to download Red Hat 9
and then reinstall again

I installed Red Hat 9 and it works perfectly without any problems regardles to video card.
