No IPv6 routers present - SuSE 8.2

I have SuSE 8.2 installed on an IBM Thinkpad 770Ed with a Netgear FA410 PCMCIA ethernet card, which SuSE claims is supported.

I can't get any network access. YaST has it set as eth-pcmcia, with pcmcia checked.

Log files sho "noIPv6 routers present". I don't know why it would be trying to use IPv6....

If I try to ping, even my router, I get "network is unreachable".

Any ideas?
