no internet connection in Fedora 12.

Greetings fellow fedorans,

This is my situation, would appreciate some help. I am running Fedora 12 on my medion laptop as a dual boot. I am completely unable to get internet access and am wondering if my ethernet controller is to blame. It is a Realtek8101/E PCI Express according to the output of lspci. On my other o/s (Windows 7) I am using a wireless connection which is ok so I know the system works. My network controller is a Ralink 2860, and I am using a SMC wireless router. I really like Fedora 12, have no trouble accessing the internet when I run Fed 12 on Sun Virtualbox so could some-one please help me. I am a new person to Linux so nothing too techie. Thank you everyone.
