NO find USB mouse Under kernel 2.6.9

Under kernel 2.6.9 , my IBM T23 Notebook can not find trackpoint mouse and USB mouse ,how to solve it ?

- do you have a stock kernel or a custom build (one that you perhaps have compiled on yourself)?
- does /proc or lspci show any info?
- does dmesg give you any hints if the mouse is recognized at all?

it might be that the mouse is recognized, but you need to tweak this thing a bit to get it working under X for example...

yeah, i use gpm -m /dev/input/mice -t ps2 done it .
