Unhappy No Drives Found

Hi there,

I'm attempting to install Red Hat 9.0 on my Compaq Presario V6000 Laptop, I have Windows XP pre-installed on one drive and want to install Red hat on other drive.
But at the time of installation I get the following error:

"No hard drives have been found. You probably need to manually choose drivers for installation to succeed. Would you like to select drivers now?"

When I choose Yes, I get to next screen where I get the message: "No special drivers have been loaded for your syste,. Would you like to load any now?" On saying Yes for this, I get to choose between SCSI and Network drivers in the next screen.
But none of them is my hard drive driver. And if i try to go through without selecting any driver then i get this error:

'No drives found. An error has occured - no valid devices were found on which to create new file systems.'

I have ATA/ATAPI controllers with
Intel(R) 82801G(ICH7 Family) Ultra ATA Storage Controllers - 27DF
and
Intel(R) 82891GBM SATA AHCI controller

Please help me
Thanks
Vasu

RedHat 9 is obsolete and I don't think is has SATA drivers. I would get one of the modern distros--eg
Ubuntu or Kubuntu
Mepis
PCLinuxOS
Fedora 6
