I am using lenovo, and have installted redhat8.0 on it. I am not able to decide the monitor and graphics drivers from the list provided. Can anyone help me out this. The lenovo model is of the lowest version..I cannot recollect that...[appologise for not providing this information]...

Please let me know...

So your linux does work? But you just don't know which driver to download for your gfxcard ? Anyway, if you linux does work, post the output of:

Code:

lspci
This will show us the devices in your computer. And then we can help you find your drivers. Just one other question though: "why pick RH8.0 which is old and outdated, take Fedora Core!".

RedHat v8 is truly ancient as far as Linux distros go, and Lenovo are all quite new systems (no more than 2 years old). It is highly unlikely that RH8 will even work on a modern laptop system. Why not try an up to date system such as Fedora 7, Ubuntu 7.04 or OpenSuSE. I have had good luck with these as well as CentOS if you want to use an Enterprise distro with recent Lenovo systems such as the X41, R60, and T60 systems.
