Need serious help

I am using mandrake 10.0 and I wanted to see how much battery I had left on my laptop so I went to laptop battery under the kde tools. it said I needed an APCI or APM. I installed both from the cd by clicking install. Im new to linux so I dont kno wut to modify or n e thing. n e way I installed both of them and it still says the same message when I open up laptop battery, and I have restarted. My 2nd problem is my wirelss card. I have installed ndiswrapper from the mandrake cds just like everything else. I dont know where it installed from or n e thing. theres no more instructions, its just there. I have a .inf file for my card but I dont kno wut to do with it. I installed all the software from packaging>install software. Can someone help me?

okay i had success with a Belkin 54G card using the latest ndiswrapper.

I foolowed the steps in both the ReadME and INSTALL documentation adn the install went smoothly. Basically, after extttracting ndiswrapper, cd to the folder and as root, ./configure, then
ndiswrapper -i <path to windows drive .inf file>
after that modprobe and you should be in business.

Like I said, read the INSTALL doco and follow it step by step and you can't go wrong.

Regards

Mick
