I am trying to install Linux Red Hat 9 on my HP ze4420us laptop, when I put the first cd in, I press enter to start the installation and then it goes to do you want to test your media screen then it locks up, I can't choose test or skip, any ideas would be much appreciated.
I'm having this exact same problem with my new ze4420us and RH9. It seems that the install program loses all keyboard support. I'm not sure if the answer is to find a keyboard driver and load it in manually before the install or what....Anyone else have some suggestions?
I turned off USB legacy support in the bios and passed a few other options before install and that did the trick. I was able to install RH 9 but never got X up. Red Hat severn beta and Mandrake 9.1 installed without a hitch. I have to look back at my notes to see what boot options I used with the RH9 install when I get back from work.
