My applications just broke

I'm not really sure what I did to break things, but they are definitely broken. Currently I can only run applications that shipped with my distro (Kubuntu 7.04), but other then that, nothing. When I open an application, an entry for it comes up in my taskbar, it thinks for a while, then it goes Looking for some help. Thanks!

It sounds like you may be missing some sort of a dependency.

Try running one of the problem applications from the console, and note the error that it shows. It will probably mention something about a library being missing.
