multiple monitors, display label position? gnome

I am connecting my Dell Laptop with Ubuntu 10.04 (great, btw) to my 36" Sony TV and everything works fine *except* that the multiple monitors software wants to put a monitor label ("Laptop", "Mirror Screens" or "Sony") in the left upper corner of the screen... right overtop the Gnome menu bar and window controls.

Surely this is a simple thing. How do I turn these monitor labels off?

Thanks!

Brad

Typically this label is only on there while the monitor preferences window is open, make sure you dont have that application minimized any where, or have it running in the background. If you still dont see it running, go to System → Administration → System Monitor | and kill the process Gnome-Display-Properties, Highlighted in the Attachment. Let me know if this works
