Mouse weirdness

I'm using a Medion MD5950 laptop, dualbooting XP Home and SuSE 8.2. I'm having a weird mouse problem. The mouse is an A4 Tech Optical 4D model WOP-35, with 4 buttons and two wheels.

When I boot into XP, no problem. When I turn on the computer and boot into SuSE, the mouse is uncontrollable. If I just move the mouse, it flies all over the screen clicking everything in sight. When I reboot from that point, it works normally again. Also, when I switch from XP to SuSE, it works normally. There are no Linux drivers on the manufacturer's site.

Does anyone know a way out of this? Right now I have SuSE set for Intelli/Wheel Mouse.

Dont really have any ideas other than looking in the logs. Probably the xf86 to start with and then if no joy on to the rest.
