mouse misbehaviour(s) after upgrade from Ubuntu 9.04
Must click AND move cursor OFF clicked item before system obeys click.
Also, dropdown menus disappear if I don't pause 3 sec.s before moving across to select from. This maybe just part of the general slowdown I'm having since upgrade.
The first-mentioned certainly arose with online upgrade to 9.10, and is a real pest.
Dell laptop, 512Mb, touchpad mouse, Gnome.
I can re-install 9.04 from disk, but wondering if there's an option to stay with 9.10.
Well I'm marking this SOLVED because there's no option for MOSTLY SOLVED lol.
Sorry, yes that was what I put in terminal, and got response 'latest version already installed' - so I thought there may be a special re-install command I didnt know.
BUT!!! I did take suggestion from ubuntuforums of replacing a personal wallpaper with inbuilt ubuntu one.(even tho it was no prob in 9.04)
And that behaviour (of having to move arrow away from clicked item before it will respond) is greatly cured. It still happens, but 90% it doesnt which is wonderful.
I heven't yet determined what kind of items it is sticking on, or even if it's predictable like that.
