Not sure if this works but on freebsd you could use the numpad as a mouse. 5 for example was *click*

i don't use suse so i'm not sure if this will help you any. but do you have mouseconfig? if you do, you could try doing ctrl-alt-f1 to get to text mode. login in as root and run "mouseconfig". i'm using redhat the mouse configurator tool is /sbin/mouseconfig. you may have to do some searching around though to see if suse has command line mouse configuration tool. but i guess you could try it and see. if you need to know the full path or want to check if you have mouseconfig, just type the command, "whereis mouseconfig".
