mounting floppy drive???

ok i recently installed Tiny Linux on an old ibm thinkpad (600 somethin). it recognized the floppy boot disk so i was able to install everything. now that the system is running, i cant mount the floppy

cat /etc/fstab

/dev/hda1 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/hda2 / / defaults 1 1
none /proc proc defaults 0 0

cat /etc/mtab

/dev/hda2 / ext2 rw 0 0
none /proc proc rw 0 0

any help would be greatly appreciated

As root you can mount the floppy without the help of /etc/fstab:

$root> mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy

If you want to be able to mount the floppy as a normal user, you must have a line for the floppy in /etc/fstab :

/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,user 0 0

For low-level access of the floppy, you must be a member of the group floppy.
