monitor problem

Hi,

I installed Fedora Core 2 with SELinux enable. I am having a strange problem with my laptop monitor. Everything work fine when I start X. The problem is when I quit X to go to textmode or when I reboot the system : the screen start to flicker. Actually, the screen look exactly the same when I have a CRT monitor driver instead of the LCD driver.

Is there any other config file where I could set the default monitor driver when I enter run level 3 ???

Thank you

had things like that

Hi, i also had a problem like this on debian.
The thing was, that when starting x the screen was switched to 24bit mode which causes problems even after switching back to tty1.
The solution is to simply make X11 use 16bit mode :-)
hope this works for you, too :-)
bye
bade
