modprobe ndiswrapper error
Hi,
I've installed fedora 5 on a dell latitude D610. I'm having problems with the wireless card. I followed the steps described in the ndiswrapper wikipage. I have the windows driver bcmwl5.inf and the ndiswrapper -l bcmwl5.inf has worked fine. My problem comes from modprobe ndiswrapper. I've downloaded the latest versions of kernel and kernel-devel with yum. And ndiswrapper compiled OK. But somehow I can't modprobe it. Any idea? Could it be related to usbcore?? i don't seem to have it. Thanks! |
What happens when you type 'modprobe ndiswrapper'?
One thing you could do is to type 'ndiswrapper -m', which inserts an entry in modules.conf so it's automatically loaded. I was setting up a wireless card on a friend's laptop with ndiswrapper, and we couldn't get anything to work until I used that. |
