Obviously the sound chip is not even detected. I have it enabled, so that is not a problem. Laptop is Dual booting XP and the audio works under XP.
Anyone have any Suggestions??

Okay, I sort of fixed my own problem.

In console I typed:

modprobe sound <enter>
modprobe sb irq=5 <enter>

Got sound now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do I get it to initialize sound at boot so I don't have to do this every time I stat up my laptop?
