Memtest crashes on DELL Lattitude E4310

I start memtest (from Knoppix 6.4.3) it run's a few seconds and reboot.
No error just reboot.

When I remove a RAM it works! Each RAM alone works.
But with both RAM's (2x2 GB) it crashes.

Are there any Parameter for memtest ?

I made the mistake of buying ecc mem when mine was non-ecc, but seeing that you're not new to this, I don't think that's your problem.
The only machine that I have that would boot with 1 in it was my dell optiplex, but it would not list that memory.

Seems like a hardware fault. Can your box take 2 sticks of ram? Do they both test ok?

Memtest get a to big RAM size: 4480M.
When I press "c" just after memtest starts and set the upper limit to "4g" (=4096MB) it works!

The Knoppix Startscreen write 3473 MB used.

Thank you all!
