Mandriva installation problem

So i ditched the idea of putting MEPIS into my laptop and decides to install Mandriva

My laptop is a Pentium II 365Mhz with 128MB of RAM

I figure this would fall under the i586 category so i downloaded the corresponding ISO image...
After plinking around with Alcohol 120%, i have 3 CDs labeled Disk 1 2 and 3...i pop disk 1 into the computer, restarts..
mind you that i have adjusted my BIOS setting to boot off the CD..
the new boot order is as follows

1 [CD]
2 [HDD]
3 [FDD/LS-120]

but after the computer restarts itself, the screen blinks a few times, more than it usually does, and the second time i see the screen lights up, windows XP starts loading..

The perdicament continues...

After XP finished loading, a blue window saying "Welcome to Mandrakelinux" popped up with instructions like "Install Mandrakelinux", "Install Mandrakelinux using floppy" and language options along the bottom...

i hovered my mouse over "Install Mandrakeelinux", turning the words yellow, and clicked...but nothing happened...

I also tried clicking "Install Mandrakelinux using floppy" but nothing happened either...however, all the other links that require IE / Firefox works...

All the language options along the bottom works as well...

can someone please help me out?? i am one confused individual...

PS. is this the "pissing-people-off" installation procedure thats got everyone so worked up? hahahaha

Burn the cd's as ISO's or images, not data cd's
