mandrake 9.2 crashes on dell 4150 when unplugging/plugging power cord

Hi

I did see the earlier post in regards to this issue, but was wondering if anyone had a conclusive solution to this problem?

i have a dell inspiron 4150 w/ mandrake 9.2, that hangs when you go from AC to battery or vice versa, also if you shutdown from either KDE or Gnome it does not fully power off.

these are serious issues for laptop users, so wondering if anyone has succesfully overcome them?

thanks.

Hi thanks for your responses. after some research it seems this is an outstanding issue w/ mandrake 9.2 on some laptops. i really am not inclined to be recompiling the kernel etc etc.
i switched to Suse 9, and i am happy , it works , and is stable. what more can you ask.

thanks again.
