Mandrake 9.1 Screen resolution using Dell Laptops

Hello,

I am new to Linux and just installed Mandrake9.1 on my Laptop just yesterday. Everything went fine and it even recognized the Nvidia video card on my Dell8200. It has a resolution of 1600*1200. Instead of leaving it alone I started playing around and put the resolution at 1900*1400, now after I reboot, I get to the LILO and then after choosing Linux, it gets started and then all I see is a black screen, I know its started the OS because I hear that music that starts. Hope I have described my problem accurately.

Thank you,
pg

Thank you for the reply Caeda. I tried the
Ctrl+Alt+F1, then logged in as root and used drakconf and changed the settings.
